Despite this, Monika had taken any escape opportunity looming in the house, only to be caught by Ivan and raped again as punishment. Amelia obeyed – she had heard what had happened to Monika the other night, and more. Although she was afraid that the tall Russian might do the same to her, Amelia was glad she made the mistake. Following Monika to freedom was the right choice, even though they had failed. The girls woke up to find colorful dresses on each of their bedsides with odd, but beautiful, tiaras resting on top. The dresses had long sleeves that were nearly covered, but the fronts were cut. On the mid-sections lay silk sashes the color of snow.

Monika picked up a dark blue dress. She wasn't the type of person to wear such things – unlike Francis and Feliks, who would always wear such gorgeous outfits when they were not fighting. In Feliks' case, he would even go as far as dressing up like a female, let alone act like one. Even so she vowed to herself to behave, though she despised the Russian's plot.
